Providing UNISON your email address

UNISON, both locally and nationally, knows that communication is important to its members.

Our research has shown that members generally regard two of the key functions of a union branch to be:

  • Consulting members on matters that affect them at work
  •  Regular communication with members.

Your UNISON Virtual Branch website has been set up to help in these key areas.

These day, employers are able to contact staff directly by email, and rapidiy present their position in issues. For your union to do the same and keep you informed all we need is your email address

Where members provide us with an email address for contact they will receive

  • direct communication - without having to wait for paper to be distributed
  • notice of consultations taking place via the website or by other methods
    • general newsletters about issues affecting you and fellow members
